While it is warming up here in Austin, I realize that a cold front is coming through BUT ALSO not everyone is having this kind of weather, so I wanted to post this sweater. This sweater caught my eye at Lulu’s due to the back. Not too plunging that you’ll be cold, but I think that it really sets it apart from other oversized sweaters (and doesn’t show your bra!!! WINNING). Because I am such a petite person, it is pretty easy for me to get lost in an oversized sweater. SOMETIMES I don’t mind being lost. Especially when I’m feeling frumpy or like I don’t want my body to be seen (hello period week). Other times, you want to make a statement. BUT you never wanna be “that girl” that is out in nearly nothing when its nearly nothing degrees outside!!
The pants are something that I thought everyone felt and looked sexy in, much to my chagrin I have learned that not all parties like wearing or looking at these pants. NONE THE LESS, I feel good in them. I also feel like they are SO warm to wear. Not too warm that you would get hot inside, but warm enough that I can walk around when its super cold and not worry about my legs. I love the miniskirt + sweater outfits, but lets be real—not for walking around comfortably.
SHOES! The high heeled sandals, in my oh so humble opinion, all but make the leather pants look sexy. They are NOT the most comfortable things. Steve Madden is my go-to for affordable wedding/going out/fancy shoes. And these are no exception, but you kinda pay for it. THESE I wore to a wedding and it was a grave mistake. ON the exact opposite end of the spectrum, this Vans slip-ons were THE best purchase I have ever made. SO comfortable, I have had them for two years. I STILL get compliments on them. I CANNOT stress to you enough how much you need these in your life as a wardrobe staple!!!
What do you think? Would you wear this casual or dress it up? Let me know!
